We used short-reach levers that kids can actually grab, and tuned the V-brakes so a gentle squeeze brings them to a complete stop. We also painted the rear brake lever bright green—no confusing left and right, just a simple color check before they ride.

A kid's bike shouldn't just be a smaller version of an adult bike—it needs to be built entirely differently to fit their actual bodies. That means smaller grips for smaller hands, less space between the pedals so their legs stay aligned, shorter crank arms for easy spinning, and a lower center of gravity to help them keep their balance. "We kept the frame low so kids can step through easily and get moving without tipping over. It also means if they ever have to stop fast and slide forward off the seat, they can safely plant both feet flat on the ground without hitting the bar.

We chose our colors to make sure these are the bikes kids actually want to show off to their friends. Instead of basic flat paint, Nabiis uses a premium brushed finish with a baked clear coat.
